Today is Oliver's 3rd Birthday! He is a funny boy and has brought such a joy and brightness to my home.
Oliver started out as a tiny 3-4 week old kitten. He loved attention, playing, sleeping, and talking!
Oliver still loves all these things, especially the talking. He brings comic relief to my house daily and keeps me on my toes. He is now teaching his new brothers to do crazy things as well! Oh boy, I am going to have my hands full.
Oliver has claimed the dining room table as his and loves to play there. He is a nut, but a sweet love bug too. He asks for snuggles in the bathroom and purrs up a storm. He is learning to play with the kittens around and is getting back to his old self. He is dramatic and tends to take longer than the others to adjust or accept. He is my baby and I love him dearly! He brings a smile to my face just thinking about him. He is Oliver Hughes.
Harrison and Flynn are growing up and that means new teeth!
This is Flynn from the other week...you can see his permanent bottom incisors have erupted. The baby teeth fell out a couple of days later.
Here is Flynn again, a week or so later...you can see he now has one set of permanent incisors on the bottom but has the double set on the top.
He is such a patient and tolerant boy. So glad to have these photos of the teeth...I think it is really neat to see the changes they go through on their way to adulthood. So far, we have not found any of the teeth that have fallen out. I have now found two teeth!
These both appear to be pre-molars. The bloody one is fresh out of Flynn's mouth...found it on my bed after he finished a small snack! The other one is probably Flynn as well, but I don't know that for sure.
I found two of Oliver's. Were you able to find any of your kittens teeth?
We didn't get a video of this event, but later Auntie was adding clothes to the washer as it filled up. Harrison is watching the water and touching it as in the video above, but then he decides to get in with the clothes. He steps down onto the clothes and starts sinking into the water! We snagged him out and dried him off...he loved it! You need to keep a camera handy when Harry is around!
Secondly, Harrison helped me change the fish tank water. Once the new water was added back in, he took a minute to inspect our work! You can see all the water that has been sprayed on the wall from him shaking his paws! I'm posting a short video here, but the YouTube link is a longer version. Notice, he is in up to his armpits!
After the fun he had in the bathtub the other week, I ordered him some moving bath toys. They finally came last night, so it was time for Harrison to play again. I started him in a clear bowl so all the boys could play if they wanted to. Flynn was a bit curious and touched the water some, but none of the others came over.
Well, we hope you have enjoyed this edition of Harrison the Water Baby!
Now, I want to take a minute and wish my beautiful Devon a happy 15th birthday at the bridge. You are missed very much but I see a lot of you in Oliver and Harrison. Thanks for sending these special boys to me!
